Day 08 – The Day of Cramps, Coughs, and Another Runner’s High

Fruits Plate

Yesterday was a wash.

Day 07 came and went without a single step being taken. The morning slipped away because I woke up late, and by evening, Rohan’s schedule got delayed too. Honestly, I wasn’t feeling the idea of an evening run anyway. After a full day of work, all I want to do is relax, not hit the ground running—literally. That’s when we both realised something important: evening runs are just not for us.

Our sweet spot is the early morning, and we’re sticking to it.

Waking Up to Day 08

This morning, I woke up with a mission: make up for yesterday. But my body had other plans. My legs felt tight, my thighs were screaming, and my stomach… let’s just say it was not cooperating. Everything felt stiff and sore.

But I couldn’t let it stop me. I told myself, Cramps or no cramps, we’re running.

The Cramping Sprint Session

Today, we hit Yashwant Ground for what I’d call a sprint-heavy session—short bursts, giving what I could. I managed to do 7 or 8 solid sprints.

By the end of 30 minutes, we’d covered around 3 kilometers—not bad for a day when neither of us felt 100% and despite the pain, something incredible happened—I felt another Runner’s High

The Aftermath: Aching Thighs and Stiff Muscles

But now, both of my thighs are aching so badly. Deep stretching has moved to the top of my priority list tonight because these stiff muscles aren’t going to loosen themselves lol.

Day 08 wasn’t perfect, but it didn’t need to be. It’s another step forward and I am glad I took it!
