It’s a sunny afternoon, after the 76th Republic Day, and I am finally doing this: Ranking all the chocolates I have ever eaten (or will eat).
Ever since my mama ji (my mom’s big brother) brought Amul’s Chocolate Chip ice cream, I’ve fallen in love with the taste of chocolate. Dark, sweet and bitter taste. The first time I tasted dark chocolate was when Ankur Jiju gave me a bar of Bournville as a gift. As a gift in sense, just like how you give chocolates to small kids… I was 10 or 11 years old at that time and I was so eager to taste it. Because 1. I have never eaten it before. 2. It was expensive. 3. The packaging made it so exquisite. But the moment I tasted it, I freaking hated the taste of it (sorry Jiju)…
But as everything expensive, we (me and my brother) made a pact to eat it. I guess that one bar lasted for more than 15 days. It was like me and my brother were chipping away one piece at a time like chipping away at a mountain.
After that, I never ate dark chocolate. 1. It was damn expensive. 2. SUPER EXEPENSIVE. 3. A 10-year-old couldn’t afford it. 4. My family didn’t like the taste of dark chocolate. In their words, “Pehle toh paise do, phir kadvi cheez khao? Ghadhe thodi na hain hum” In English: “First give the money, then eat something bitter? What do we look like, donkeys?” and 5. I hated the taste of everything bitter (as you know).
Coffee? Nah. Chocolate with even some bitterness? Nah. That thing (you know what)? Nah. But now, everything’s completely changed. The things I once disliked are now the ones that I like love.
So that’s the short story of my love with Chocolate and this page is dedicated to preserve the taste of that. Preserve the taste of the first time I tasted the delicacies and how it compares to other chocolates… Dark chocolates, ice-creams, cakes… I am here to Rank everything CHOCOLATE!
This list will be updated as soon as I eat new chocolates!
Dark Chocolate Bars: RANKED!

1. Amul India Twilight Tryst Dark Chocolate
Rating: 5/5. Classic

The smooth chocolaty taste that I expected… It just melts in your mouth. 10/10 chocolate. Also cheaper than other dark chocolates
2. Bournville Cranberry Dark Chocolate
Rating: 3.5/5

Not at all good experience. The packaging was exquisite no doubt but the smooth texture that I wanted was not at there… The butter (or whatever that thing is), get separated and the chocolate gets separated… The cranberry mixed in was an awesome delight but me buying it again is rare… If all shops stops selling dark chocolates maybe then I will (lol)
